Who do I need to identify and what information is required?

For SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises)

To comply with regulations, you must identify and provide information about:

1. Key People to Identify

  • Ultimate Beneficial Owners (UBOs): Anyone owning more than 25% of the company or exercising effective control.
  • Authorized account operators: People with authority to manage the company’s accounts.
  • Elected representatives or administrators: Individuals officially representing or managing the company.
     

2. Required Information for Each Person

  • Full name
  • ID number (with a copy of the document)
  • Birthdate
  • Nationality
  • Country of residence
  • Role or ownership percentage


For complex ownership structures: You must show the complete chain of ownership leading to the individuals who ultimately control the company.

If none: If a category does not apply, simply state “None.”

 

For Freelancers

1. Who to Identify

  • Authorized persons: Anyone who has the authority to operate your account or control your business on your behalf.
     

2. Required Information

  • Full name
  • ID number
  • Birthdate
  • Nationality
  • Country of residence

For Homeowner’s Associations

1. Who to Identify

  • Property administrator: The individual responsible for managing the association’s operations.
  • Major owners: Anyone holding a participation quota of 25% or more.
  • Elected representatives: Such as the President or Secretary authorized to operate the association’s account.
     

2. Required Information for Each Person

  • Full name
  • ID number
  • Birthdate
  • Nationality
  • Country of residence
  • (For major owners: exact participation percentage)

     

Company Creation

Who are Ultimate Beneficial Owners (UBOs) and what information is required?

1. UBOs to Identify

  • Anyone who will own more than 25% of shares or voting rights, or who will have effective control over the company.
     

2. Required Information

  • Full name
  • Copy of ID document
  • Birthdate
  • Nationality
  • Country of residence
  • Exact ownership percentage
