For regulatory reasons, we need to verify some of your information before the opening of your future Qonto business account:
1. - Your identity document
You can take a photo of one of one of the following valid ID documents (see here):
-
An identity card (front and back)
-
A European passport (both pages)
-
A Spanish residence permit that authorizes you to work in Spain (front and back)
All information must be clearly visible. We advise you to pay attention to the quality of the photo to activate your account as soon as possible.
Please note that only a representative or legal representative of the company can open a Qonto account on behalf of a company. You will need the following documents:
- For legal entities and sole proprietorships: If your company has been recently incorporated or is in the process of registering with the Commercial Registry, we will need the company's Deeds of incorporation or Form 036.
-
For self-employed: During the account opening process, you will have the option to upload your proof of registration with the Tax Agency document (Census Status Certificate with less than 3 months, which you can download directly from the Tax Agency website).
Moreover, we will also need a proof of registration with Social Security (Employment history report with less than 1 month, which can be downloaded from the Social Security website).
Once we have received and reviewed these documents, we will verify and activate your account.
- For representatives: A notarized power of attorney authorizing you to open, manage, and close accounts on behalf of the company.
2. - The Ultimate Beneficiaries' Owners (UBO) identity documents
If your company is a partnership or a limited company, in addition to the documents mentioned above (regarding the person opening the Qonto account), you will need to provide valid identification for each beneficial owner of the company.
☝🏼Beneficial owners are natural persons who directly or indirectly own more than 25% of the company's capital, or who have voting rights on decisions affecting the company.
3. - Company registration documents
- Beneficial ownership certificate or Ultimate beneficial ownership (UBO) declaration
- Deeds of incorporation
