How do I add money by card?

  1. Log in to Qonto.

  2. Go to your Overview page, or the Accounts page if you want to top up an account other than your main one.

  3. Click on Add money in the account's balance widget.

  4. Choose Credit or debit card.

  5. Enter the amount you'd like to add (between €50 and €2,000).

  6. Add the details of your other bank card.

☝️ Good to know: Using the top-up by card feature, the money will appear instantly on your Qonto account if the transaction was successful. You will be able to start using it (e.g send money out of your account) once your account has been validated, which usually takes up to 5 to 6 hours from the account opening. You can also use an external card to top-up your account to pay late installments of the Pay Later feature.

Can Qonto use my stored card to pay pending fees?

Yes. Your card details will be stored for future debits.

If you registered a payment method after 13 February 2024, Qonto may use your stored card to add funds to your main account and cover your first outstanding fees.

Example: If you have outstanding fees of €169 and a balance of €130, €39 will be charged to your registered card and added to your account. The full €169 will then be deducted, leaving your account with a balance of €0.

💡 You can delete your payment method by going to Settings > Pricing & Billing > Payment methods. Only the Owner will have access to the payment method and will be able to delete it.
