Can I get remuneration on my Qonto account?
Who is eligible?
To be eligible for Account Remuneration, you must meet the following criteria:
- Have an activated account and access to Qonto with an Admin or Owner role
- Have a price plan from Smart and above (Basic plan excluded)
- Use your Qonto account actively as a payment account (minimum of 5 transactions per month)
This offer is strictly limited to tax residents of the respective country (organizations, legal representatives, or UBOs).
☝️Please note that eligibility also depends on internal criteria beyond those listed here. Access may be declined accordingly.
In which countries is it available?
Account Remuneration is currently available for businesses based in 🇫🇷 France, 🇪🇸 Spain, 🇳🇱 Netherlands and 🇮🇹 Italy.
Do I need to pay any fees to use it?
Good news! You don't need to pay any fees to activate or use Account Remuneration.
Since the remuneration is applied directly to your existing Qonto accounts, there are no separate accounts created, no withdrawal process needed, and no hidden fees. Your funds remain in your regular accounts with full access at all times.
How does my remuneration work and when do I receive it?
What balance is remunerated?
Every night at midnight, the system automatically calculates your remuneration based on your settled balance across all your active internal Qonto accounts. Your settled balance refers to all completed transactions that have been processed and are available in your accounts.
The remuneration calculation is applied up to the maximum cap allowed for your specific price plan - any funds above this threshold won't generate additional remuneration.
How is my remuneration calculated?
The daily calculation uses your price plan's Annual Equivalent Rate (AER), which is applied to your settled balance from the previous day. This means your remuneration accumulates day by day as a reward for using Qonto for your business payment needs, giving you a clear and predictable return on your business funds.
When and how am I paid?
Your accumulated remuneration is paid out monthly on the 2nd day of each month, automatically credited directly to your main account. The payment is automatic and instant.
The promotional rate applies only to new customers who activate Remuneration within 60 days after Qonto account validation. The offer remains available after the 2-month period, the default AER rate will then be applied.
How will Account Remuneration appear on my account?
There is a specific transaction method labelled “Remuneration”. Each monthly earning will be clearly identified with this label as part of your transaction history.
Additionally, you can easily justify these by downloading your monthly bank statements: showing all remuneration amounts: directly from Business Account > Accounts.
How is my remuneration rate determined?
Eligible new customers benefit from a 4% annual rate for the first two months. From the moment the account is opened, they have two months to activate the offer.
How often are the rates updated?
Rates may be updated periodically based on market conditions, with the European Central Bank (ECB) rate serving as our primary reference. You can always view your current applicable rate in your Account Remuneration detail page.
How do price plans apply different rates to remuneration?
Each price plan has specific AER rates:
| Price plan | AER | Cap |
|---|---|---|
| Smart | 1.0% | €50,000 |
| Premium | 1.0% | €100,000 |
| Essential | 1.0% | €200,000 |
| Business | 1.5% | €200,000 |
| Enterprise | 2.0% | €200,000 |
You can estimate your possible remuneration per plan directly from this simulator.
Note: All rates are subject to change based on market conditions and regulatory requirements.
