At Qonto, our mission is to offer you a complete business account with fair and transparent pricing. Your subscription includes a certain number of operations, while others incur additional fees based on your plan.
Each transaction now displays its associated fees directly in your transaction history, making it easy to track and understand your costs. You can view detailed fee information, filter out fees from your transaction list, and export everything for accounting purposes.
Fees vary depending on your plan and the type of operation – from card transactions and cash withdrawals to transfers, direct debits, and additional services. This article explains how each fee is calculated and where to find detailed information about your charges.
This feature is available to all Qonto users on both 💻 web and 📱 mobile apps.
How can I view fees related to my transactions?
Each transaction in your Qonto account includes a Related fees section that shows all fees associated with that specific transaction. Click on this section to see the fee amount and a clear description of what the fee covers.
When you click on any individual fee, you'll open the full fee details page. Here you'll find the complete fee amount, the fee name, and who charged it (typically Qonto).
The fee details page also includes a Related transaction section that links back to the parent transaction. This makes it easy to navigate between the transaction and its associated fees in both directions.
To help you identify the related transaction, you'll see key information including the transaction amount, foreign currency label (if applicable), counterparty name, transaction date, and payment method.
This two-way linking system ensures you always have complete transparency about which fees correspond to which transactions.
How do I manage the visibility of fees in my transaction list?
You can choose to hide transaction fees from your transaction list for a cleaner view of your actual business transactions.
On 💻 web, use the Exclude transaction fees custom view for a streamlined display, or manually apply the Filter option in your transaction list to remove fees from view. You can create up to 15 custom views to organize your transaction history according to your preferences.
On 📱 mobile, use the Filter option to exclude transaction fees from your list. Custom views are not currently available on mobile, but the filtering functionality works the same way.
The core functionality for viewing and managing fees is identical across both platforms. On web, fee details appear in a side panel, while on mobile they open as a full page for easy viewing.
How are card-related fees calculated?
Card fees depend on your subscription plan and the type of card you use. Understanding these fees helps you choose the right cards for your team and manage your costs effectively.
Physical cards incur a one-time fee when ordered:
- €5 One card
- €8 Plus card
- €20 X card
- €30 for the Mirror card
These fees apply to any additional physical cards beyond those included in your plan.
Virtual cards are included in most plans, with all plans except Basic including 50 virtual cards:
- With the Basic plan, you'll be charged €2 per month per virtual card
- For all other plans, any virtual cards beyond the 50-card limit incur a charge of €1 per card per month
Instant cards are only available with the Expense & Spend Management add-on and are unlimited and free of charge.
For more information about card types and features, visit our cards guide.
How do foreign exchange fees work?
A foreign exchange commission applies to card payments made in currencies other than the euro, with the rate based on your card type.
One, Virtual, and Instant cards incur a 2% fee on all non-euro transactions.
Plus cards benefit from a reduced 1% fee.
X cards offer completely free non-euro transactions with no foreign exchange commission.
When you make a transaction in a foreign currency, the exchange fees are automatically integrated into the transaction amount displayed in your history. You can view detailed fee breakdowns in the transaction information at any time.
When exporting transactions for accounting purposes, fees appear as separate line items from the transaction itself to ensure compliance with accounting standards. This separation makes it easier to categorize and reconcile your expenses.
These fees are automatically calculated and added to your transaction at the time of payment. For complete details specific to your card, check your card's terms and conditions.
How are cash withdrawal fees calculated?
Cash withdrawal fees vary depending on which card type you use to withdraw money.
With a One card, you'll be charged €2 per withdrawal.
Plus cards include 5 free withdrawals per month, with each additional withdrawal charged at €2.
X cards offer unlimited free cash withdrawals with no fees.
These fees are automatically applied when you make a withdrawal and will appear in your transaction history with clear fee details.
How are transfer and direct debit fees calculated?
SEPA transfers and direct debits:
Each plan includes a combined monthly allowance of SEPA transfers (both standard and instant) and direct debits. This allowance covers:
- Incoming transfers (money you receive)
- Outgoing transfers (money you send)
- Outgoing direct debits
All these operations count toward your single shared monthly limit:
- Basic: 30 operations per month
- Smart: 100 operations per month
- Premium: 200 operations per month
- Essential: 250 operations per month
- Business: 500 operations per month
- Enterprise: 10,000 operations per month
Once you exceed your plan's included operations, additional fees apply:
- €0.20 per operation for Basic and Smart plans
- €0.15 per operation for Essential and Business plans
- €0.10 per operation for Premium and Enterprise plans
International transfers in foreign currencies:
For international transfers in foreign currencies, Qonto partners with Wise to process payments through local networks in addition to the SWIFT network. This often results in better exchange rates and lower fees.

Direct debit collection:
If you collect payments from clients via direct debit, different fees may apply.
For complete information on direct debit collection fees, see our article: How to collect money from my clients?
How are check deposit fees calculated? (French companies only)
Each Qonto plan for French companies includes a specific number of check deposits. Any additional deposited checks beyond your plan's included amount are charged at €2 per check.
This fee applies only to companies registered in France, as check deposits are not available in other markets.
How are team member fees calculated?
Team member fees vary significantly based on your plan, with some plans offering unlimited free members while others charge for specific roles.
With Basic, Smart, or Premium plans, you can add an Admin role for €10 per month. Smart and Premium plans include unlimited Accountant roles free of charge.
Essential, Business, and Enterprise plans offer all additional members completely free and unlimited, regardless of role (Employee, Manager, Admin, or Accountant). This makes these plans ideal for growing teams that need flexible access control.
What other service fees might apply?
Additional service fees cover specific services beyond your regular subscription, such as card delivery and legal processing requirements.
New card delivery costs €6 excluding VAT when you need a replacement card or additional card shipped to your address.
For French companies, fees may apply when judicial authorities demand repayment of unpaid debts. SATD (Avis à Tiers Détenteur) management is invoiced at 10% of the total amount requested by the seizing structure, with a maximum ceiling of €100. Seizure management is invoiced at a flat rate of €100.
These fees are charged only when the specific service is required and will appear in your billing details.
Where can I find detailed information about my Qonto fees?
You can access comprehensive fee information directly from your Qonto account on both web and mobile platforms.
On 💻 web, go to Settings > Billing and invoice > Price plan details to see the breakdown of your charges during the current month. This view shows you exactly which fees have been applied and why.
On 📱 mobile, access the same information by tapping Menu > Settings > Billing to review your current billing cycle and fee details.
In your transaction history on both platforms, click on any transaction line to see additional information about associated fees. Each fee entry provides a clear description and amount.
💡 In some cases, upgrading your plan may be more cost-effective than paying for individual additional operations.
