What documents do I need to open a spanish Freelancer account?

  • Updated

These are the documents required in Qonto to open a Spanish freelancer (Empresario Individual Autónomo) account. You can upload one of these documents during the registration process.

  • Modelo 036 o 037

  • Certificado de Situación Censal

  • DUE CIRCE

¡IMPORTANT! Make sure that the CSV code is visible when uploading the file.

Additionally, we will need to verify your fiscal address to comply with our internal policies and applicable regulations. For this, you must provide one of the following types of documents:
  1. A recent invoice (less than 3 months old) for basic services such as electricity, water, or telephone
  2. A fiscal document (such as the Certificate of Tax Situation, Property Tax receipt, or income tax return)
  3. A housing document, which can be a recent rental contract, a rent payment receipt from the last 3 months, or a current home insurance contract/invoice

If during the registration process you do not have one of these documents, don't worry! We can validate your account if we know your activity code (IAE/CNAE code). Our support team will contact you to request this information.

If this is your case, you will have 90 days to provide the document that certifies that you have been registered as a freelancer (Autónomo).
